T.W. Ingham & Sons commenced business in the city of Adelaide in 1892 as a manufacturer of plaster and cement products. In 1920 the operations were relocated to a factory at Lyons Parade, Forestville, and then in 2002 the company moved to its present location at 1 Scotland Road, Mile End.

Over the years T.W. Ingham & Sons manufactured a wide range of fibrous plaster sheets, pressed metal ceiling panels, cornices, mouldings, ceiling centres and cement mouldings.

During the Company's first 80 years, work was undertaken on a range of South Australia's buildings, from small cottages, gracious mansions, to large public buildings. The name of T.W. Ingham & Sons has always been synonymous with quality plaster work. The company manufactures from its own patterns and designs including exterior architectural works.

Following the introduction of plasterboard sheet and changes in decor fashion, the industry went into decline with most fibrous plaster manufacturers going out of business in the 1960's and 70's. In 1980 T.W. Ingham & Sons was purchased by a group of individuals who did not want to see the old craft die and who foresaw the revival in interest in decorative plaster products and the appreciation of the heritage value of Australia's older buildings.

Today T.W. Ingham & Sons has one of the largest range of plaster products in the country and will be a renovator's best point of call when matching mouldings on heritage projects. Our styles include Regency, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, 50's, and the Ultra Modern. The Company's craftspeople are constantly producing new templates as well as reproducing quality designs from past eras.

T.W. Ingham & Sons is also recognised around the country for the production of pressed metal wall and ceiling panels. The extensive range of pressed metal panels date back to the late 17th Century with newer designs popular in contemporary commercial projects and homes.
